In a unexpected collaboration that defies traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the formal release, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and monstrous transformations resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret sect.
The mission concentrates on "bizarre tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
